Alcohol & Other Drug Services

Family Service, In. provides a full continuum of Alcohol and Drug Treatment services from prevention for individuals experiencing he first signs of a substance problem, through intensive outpatient programs for those experiencing substance abuse or dependence problems.

Education & Prevention

Services are provided through PICADA and include a variety of community-based education and prevention efforts. We offer two classroom style learning programs both appropriate for those encountering their first legal or community problems related to AODA use.

Education services include current and research-based information on the medical, physical, social and psychological effects of drug and alcohol use. Research-based education is also on intergral part of our AODA counseling process.

Alcohol/Drug Assessment

Is the first step in the treatment process and is provided in a comprehensive and respectful manner to understand each person's needs, strengths, concerns and the impact AODA use has on a person's life. A thorough assessment leads to the most appropriate treatment recommendation possible.

Assessment option include:

Outpatient Treatment

Is provided through group, individual, family or couple's therapy sessions. All therapy is provided by Certified Addictions Counselors. Service recommendations are based on client need and goals and may include one or a combination of available therapy services.

PASSAGES

Is an alcohol and drug treatment program serving adults ages 55 and over specializing in the unique AODA, life phase and mental health issues of older adults. An intensive outpatient program, PASSAGES provides six hours of group therapy a week, supplemented iwth individual or family therapy sessions as needed. Aftercare is provided.

Payment:

Options include self-pay using a sliding fee scale, insurance or HMO authorization, Medical Assistance, or Medicare. Prior to the first appointment, as a courtesy, we will contact the insurance carrier to obtain insurance benefit information and authorization if possible. The inforamtion is shared with the caller allowing for an education decision about treatment options given insurance benefit levels.
